Description

I have just finished a lengthy restoration of this lovely Roberts R600. The restoration comprised of the following:

Mullard LP1171 module full overhaul. All the old AF11x series transistors have been replaced with new AF125 transistors and replacement electrolytic capacitors have been fitted. All the electrolytic capacitors have been changed throughout the radio. Speaker has been replaced. Internal battery support replaced. Bottom panel replaced. Volume pot has been stripped and cleaned. Switchbank has been cleaned. The headphone socket which is a known issue with these radios has been stripped and cleaned. Dial plate has been extensively polished and looks as new. Teak side panels have been stripped and refinished with Danish oil. Quiescent current has been set to manufacturers specification.

It’s the first blue one I’ve seen so there’s not many of these out there and it looks stunning. Ideal as a Christmas present!

This radio is tested and working well on all bands with awesome FM performance. Its also picking up lots of stations on LW and MW.

Case size is 11 1/4″w x 6 1/8″h x 3 1/2″d.

All the internals are originals except for the transistors and electrolytic capacitors in the module and the electrolytic capacitors in the rest of the radio which have been replaced with higher specification parts.

You will need a PP9 battery which is still readily available online and from Wilkinson stores for a few pounds. There is also a socket for an external power supply. Neither of these items are supplied with the radio.

I will also include in the sale printed copies of the trader sheet with service data, a Roberts sales brochure from 1968 and an A3 colour double sided print of my own ERT service sheet scanned in better resolution than you will find anywhere on the internet.

I have described this radio in detail but please be aware that this is a vintage item so it will show signs of use in keeping with its age.

This radio will come with a 30 day money back guarantee. The buyer will be responsible for return postage and refund is subject to an inspection to ensure the radio has not been tampered with.

**Please note that postage is to UK mainland only. Please contact for postage costs outside of this area. Thanks**
