This is the RFM3 from Roberts featuring LW, MW and FM reception. This is the newer version with more reliable components and a better audio section giving an output of 1 watt to the 72mm 8 ohm speaker. It is finished in limited edition dark grey vinyl cloth pattern. There is some marking to the finish on the top front. There is a swivel base to allow rotation on the medium and long wave bands for best reception from the built in ferrite rod antenna. There is a telescopic aerial for FM reception which is original and straight with a knuckle joint to aid weak station reception.

Description
The RFM3 from Roberts features LW, MW and FM reception. A swivel base is fitted which allows rotation on the MW and LW bands giving best reception from the built in ferrite rod antenna. The telescopic aerial for FM reception is original and straight with a knuckle joint which aids weak station reception.
The radio will undergone a major strip down and restoration. The teak side panels will stripped and refinished with 3 coats of Danish oil. The top face will be polished to remove any scratches. It uses a PP9 battery, which although not included, is still readily available from electrical retailers and some High Street stores. There is also a power jack fitted to accept an external supply. A suitable power supply is available in my store as an optional extra. I will test the set on all bands and tweak the FM alignment for best reception using a signal generator. The volume control will be stripped down and properly cleaned. All in all this will be a well sorted vintage radio which you will get years of use out of.
This lovely little radio is one of the last well made radios from Roberts. It is made of plywood and has teak sides. The newer ones have MDF which is not as durable.
