You will need a PP9 battery which is still readily available online and from Wilkinson stores for a few pounds. This is not supplied with the radio.

I will also include in the sale printed copies of the trader sheet with service data, a Roberts sales brochure from 1968 and an A3 colour double sided print of my own ERT service sheet scanned in better resolution than you will find anywhere on the internet.

I have described this radio in detail but please be aware that this is a vintage item so it will show signs of use in keeping with its age.

This radio will come with a 30 day money back guarantee. The buyer will be responsible for return postage and refund is subject to an inspection to ensure the radio has not been tampered with.

  1. Hi there referred to your page by Mersey Radar.
I recently found a Yupiteru MVT7100 at a Japan Surplus store paid UK eqiv of 1.50 for it.
It has a couple of problems.
1, It wont receive anything on the FM band around 147mhz , 800 mhz is ok but the sound is muffled.
2, FM radio staions work well with great sound.

3, the channel up and down rotary knob has come away from the PC curcuit board and it looks like a botched repair was tried. Im in the Philippines is it worth repairing?

  2. Is it still possible to purchase an R600, my parents both worked for Roberts in the late 60’s early 70’s in Suffolk building radios, we had a R600 in our home just like the black leather and teek sides , please let me know if still available, I would love one for sentimental purposes, thanks

    1. Hi Chris. Sadly your comment ended up in the spam folder. Were you still looking for an R600? Kind regards. Graham
